Faith

Faith

“Faith means being sure of the things we hope for.”

Hebrews 11 v 1

Faith is central to belief and is a foundation for living.  It is at the heart of Christianity. The Gospel shows how God makes people right with himself. God’s way of making people right with him begins and ends with faith. As the Scripture says, “The person who is made right with God by faith will live forever.” Romans 1 v 17. The Bible says that God’s character never changes, and so we can have faith and trust that he will do what he says. Therefore, having faith in God helps us not to be “blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1 v 6). Many accounts and characters in the Bible demonstrate to us what faith in action looks like. In Hebrews 11 we read of many who are commended for their faith and obedience.  Prayer to God is a demonstration of faith. God has faith in us as he tasks us to love one another and carry out his mission on earth. At All Saints we want our children to grow the faith that they have in themselves and develop their own core beliefs, underpinned by Christian values and teaching, to equip them for life.
